  13.         AlphaSpell V is fast spelling checker, which can quickly  check  an
  14. entire document  in  a  few  moments,  and  which  can  also  be  used  for
  15. interactive spell checking within a  text  editor.  It  uses  a  compressed
  16. dictionary format that permits quicker reading of its dictionaries, and  it
  17. gives you the power to create and customize dictionaries, as  well  as  use
  18. multiple dictionaries. It has four different ways for helping you find  the
  19. correct spelling of a word.  It  can  use  a  SoundEx  like  algorithm  for
  20. matching words that sound alike; It can compare the edit  distance  between
  21. words to help you correct typos; It can list words that  match  a  wildcard
  22. pattern; And it can list anagrams,  which  is  useful  for  scrambled  word
  23. games.

  25.         AlphaSpell comes with a GUI for using it with  XDME.  In  case  you
  26. want to create an AlphaSpell GUI for another text editor, the XDME  GUI  is
  27. extensively documented, so that you can easily use  it  as  a  model.  This
  28. version of AlphaSpell is shareware. Registered users will receive a keyfile
  29. that will work with this and later  versions  of  AlphaSpell.  Only  a  few
  30. features are limited in the unregistered version, and spell checking itself
  31. is unhindered.  Sending  money  is  not  the  only  way  you  can  register
  32. AlphaSpell. Foreign language dictionaries, GUI's for  other  text  editors,
  33. and translations of the documentation will also serve as payment. I mean to
  34. make the use of AlphaSpell widespread.

  36.         All in all, AlphaSpell V is a great improvement over AlphaSpell IV.
  37. It uses a better compression format, its guessing  is  more  sophisticated,
  38. and it has many features absent in AlphaSpell IV.
